Our Programs
Angel Baskets operates six programs (Food Security, Childhood Nutrition, School Supply, Holiday Gifting, Senior Scholarships and PharmAid) in San Miguel County and the west end of Montrose County. Our Mission is to provide food, clothing and necessities to those in our community who are struggling financially.
FOOD SECURITY
Angel Baskets operates its Food Security program through the Telluride Food Pantry and the Norwood Food Bank. Our food supplies are both donated by and purchased from local food stores and producers and from individual donations.
SCHOOL SUPPLY
Our goal is to send kids to school with all the necessary supplies and confidence they need for a successful school year. We support more than 1,000 children, teachers and their schools every year.
childhood nutrition
By providing funding to local organizations that operate pre and post-school programs, Angel Baskets helps ensure that children’s meals and snacks have fresh healthy content. Fruits and vegetables and non-processed whole foods help young brains and bodies to be resilient and to stay strong.
PHARM AID
We help low-income seniors and other financially-challenged community members acquire medication, health and hygiene supplies by providing financial assistance administered through the local pharmacies.
HOLIDAY GIFTING
Our goal is to brighten the holidays for families who would otherwise have less cause to celebrate. We provide our community members in need with food cards, gift cards, selected gifts and household items and deliver them in person.
